Chris co-founded MPP Global in 2000 and ran the technology and operational side of the business until full exit in October 2021, selling to LSE listed Aptitude software PLC. He started his career as an engineer after graduating from Salford University, working mainly in the automotive industry.
He then moved to Gemini consulting (part of the Cap Gemini group) working in the rail and telecommunications industry.
For all his sins and by ‘jumping in at the deep end’, he learnt software engineering during the bootstrapping of MPP.
At MPP Global, he built and ran various teams both onshore and offshore, but always kept close to the technology and he was the main driver in the adoption of machine learning techniques at MPP.
These days, Chris is looking to find, work with, and help exciting technology focused businesses. He prefers an evidence-led, focused, and practical approach but also encourages teams to think laterally and challenge their assumptions.
Outside of this you’ll find him keeping fit, ferrying kids around activities, learning (badly) to play the piano, guitar, and violin, messing around with cars, motorbikes, restoring vintage audio equipment and basically tinkering with anything ‘that’s been engineered’.
