As a GTM specialist with a proven track record in data management and infrastructure software sales, he helps organizations establish leadership in their market.
Rich’s operational expertise includes serving until 2024 as the global MySQL sales leader, and GM for the MySQL business (product, engineering, marketing, sales, and support) both at Oracle.
Over a 19-year journey with MySQL, he played a key role in it’s transformation from a venture-backed MySQL AB, to a sales unit of Sun Microsystems, through to a self- sustaining Global Business Unit reporting directly into Oracle HQ in the US. During his time at Oracle, Rich achieved 57 consecutive quarters of sustainable revenue and margin growth through strategic leadership and operational excellence.
Rich is an LP with GP Bullhound, and an angel tech investor.
He also mentors start-up and scale-up CEO’s and contributes to REBUS – Balance the Board, the gender diversity mentoring program run by Odgers Berndtson, Google, and London Business School.
Outside work, he enjoys motorsport and watersports.
